Reasonable Force Audio Mp3 Set Soon to Be Released

We are pleased to announce that Professor of Law, Gary Slapper (Head of the Law Faculty for the Open University and who regularly writes and comments for the Times Newspaper), and Michael Mansfield QC, one of the UK’s leading Barristers (who has made his name fighting cases no one else would touch) will be providing interviews as part of our new MP3 product which will be available to purchase shortly.

Understanding Reasonable Force

Many people think the law is an arse. They have been conditioned to believe many things that are just not true. For example, on a course last week someone actually told me that you can only begin to defend yourself once someone has struck you first, otherwise you will be seen as the aggressor. Really? So if someone has a knife you have to wait for them to lunge at you first? That simply isn’t true. You can strike pre-emptively provided it is justified, but many people do not seem to know this.

To Pre-Empt or Not to Pre-Empt – The Pre-Emptive Strike

Many people today know or have heard about the ‘pre-emptive strike. It is one of those areas of self-defence that is sometimes taken out of context, with horror stories abounding about how it can be ‘abused’ and ‘misused’ by individuals who (some think) would like any lawful-excuse to impose their violence on others. An excuse to give someone a ‘kicking’. But does it have its lawful place.
