Woman Brutally Treated by Police

Woman brutally treated by policeIf you haven’t already seen this article you can do so online by clicking here.

This 59 year old woman – all 5′ 2″ of her, was physically abused by a 6ft 3ins (former soldier) Wiltshire police custody sergeant Mark Andrews. Her crime – sleeping in a car!

The second principle of the ‘nine principles of policing as laid down by Sir Robert Peel (the founder of the police) was; “The ability of the police to perform their duties is dependent upon public approval of police actions”.

I’m sure many members of the public would far from approve what is basically ‘bullying’!

As Martin Luther King put it: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”.

This woman was thrown into her cell and left unconscious by a custody sergeant. If we take the Christopher Alder case and others like it into consideration, she is actually possibly very lucky to be alive!

You never know, it may come in handy. Maybe we should do a special offer for the police as it would seem that in light of this case, the Ian Tomlinson case and the Christopher Alder case that they need some training on what is and what is not ‘Reasonable Force’.

  2. Shocking; Yet again in such a short period of time, another case of appalling misconduct by a police officer.
It is clear for all to see, the use of force adminstered by Sgt Mark Andrews was both totally unnecessary and unreasonable.
Thank goodness not everyone employed in the police abuse their powers and that the officer who reported this bully had the courage to do so.

This is happening far to often there seams to be something seriously wrong with either there training or they seam to recruiting the wrong type of person.
