$1 Million Settlement for Death Due to Positional Asphyxia

In tomorrows e-mail newsletter which is scheduled to go out at 0930 hours tomorrow morning we will be reporting on the recent civil lawsuit settlement in a case  where a man died of positional asphyxia and the possible consequences for us here in the UK.

If you wish to read this and the associated articles but have not signed up for our e-mail newsletter then do so now by going to: http://www.nfps.info and completing the ‘Free E-Mail Newsletter’ section at the bottom left of the page.

It is said the when ‘America sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold’. I believe that if the regulatory and inspectorate bodies mandated by Government do not do their job properly by investigating competently and thoroughly all restraint related deaths and bringing actions against employers for their obvious culpability in failing to provide proper information, instruction, training and supervision, then they too should be held accountable as it is there responsibility to do so under Human Rights legislation.

We have taken the baton up in one of these cases and  will keep you all informed of what occurs, but first, make sure you read the e-mail newsletter tomorrow.

Best Regards
