If you have been following our last few posts you will see that another company has been charged with Corporate Manslaughter. Now the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act is being extended to prosecute deaths that occur in custody, including Ministry of Defence and Customs custody services, after MPs and peers backed their inclusion. This is a real wake up call for Directors and Senior Managers of any custodial setting who can be prosecuted for a death that results from the use of physical force in such settings.
