Householder who shot burglar acted in Self Defence

A HOUSEHOLDER who shot dead a burglar acted in self-defence, a court was told yesterday (23rd October 2011).

Raymond Andes, 39, killed unarmed Isaiah Bovell, 21, with a single bullet to the head in April but claims he only meant to scare him.

Zoe Johnson, prosecuting, told an Old Bailey jury Bovell may have gone there because of a cannabis factory inside. She added: “The main issue is if the shot was targeted.”

Andes, of Clapham, South London, who has admitted cultivating cannabis denies murder. The trial continues. To read more about this story go to:
